Together, the DEOX community creates a resourceful camp rich in amenities to ensure your on-playa experience is more about relationship building and experiencing than existence and endurance. If you’ve outgrown roughing it and want a well-run camp with comfortable, functioning amenities designed by our extraordinary DEOX team, then Deoxidized is for you!
Building Together
Creating this oasis requires dedicated teamwork, where every Deoxidized member participates in erecting remarkable private and shared spaces. All are expected to eagerly participate in building, maintaining, and tending the infrastructure and camp activities. Your effort permits Deoxidized to provide great value. The amenities below are included in your dues.
UNDER THE PARACUTE!
The center of our gatherings is our 3300-square-foot parachute. This shaded lounge with a vibe provides a respite from the sun, a refuge from the wind, an iced cold drink from our full-service bar, the space for our SOUL Series events, and a kick-ass 24000-watt sound system.
At the DJ booth, we are hosting our very own Deoxidized DJs as well as well-known international DJs. We will continue to stick to our offering, hosting Walkin-DJs and being the place for the playa-wide: Sunday Night Welcome Home Party.

THE DEOX BAR - Ice?!
How many times have we heard:
“ICE??? – You guys have – ICE??? – “OMG – Thank you”!
Our large bar, staffed by our members and equipped with refrigeration, serves frosty cold beers, mixed drinks, soft drinks, and waters and is open to the public. Load up your water bottle with ice to cool you off while riding around the playa. Gather with your friends, old and new, for a before or after-dinner drink while listening to the sounds of our DJs.
KITCHEN, MEALS &FAMILY-DINNERS
There is no need to think about meals and all the problems of planning, purchasing, and stocking coolers, keeping food cold, running out of ice, and protecting yourself from getting sick while on the play—DEOX has you covered.
We provide two meals a day!
For breakfast, heat up some prepared breakfast burritos (these are not packaged shit – they are hearty, stuffed with lots of protein and veggies, prepared just for Deoxidized). Or make your own breakfast with OUR fresh ingredients, including eggs, bacon, pancakes, fruits, and Smoothie ingredients. All are welcome to use the kitchen for breakfast. Just clean up after yourself!
We sit in our dining tent each night to share an outstanding family dinner where conversations inspire new friendships. Meals are professionally planned, partially prepared in Reno to minimize on playa kitchen time, then cooked in our kitchen and served buffet style. The dinner service is run by our volunteers, and you get to participate in one or more meal services.
The Deoxidized kitchen is a place of joy known as the “CONNECTION TEMPLE.” Our meals are healthy, delicious entrees with options for vegetarians and omnivores.
Frankly, you’ll be blown away by the food – always delicious!!
To transport our food provisions and keep us safe from food-borne illness, we bring a 54’ refrigeration trailer containing a freezer compartment. Those ICE Cream Sundays at 4 AM are the perfect recharge before heading back out for a sunrise set.
THE DEOX SPA
While we have 2 showers for camp use (water provided), our members often find it joyous to steam away that playa dust and keep their skin from looking like lizards.
A Deoxidized member converted an AIRSTREAM to an AIRSTEAM (testimony to the abundant Deoxidized ingenuity). You can enjoy the medicinal power of detoxing (just what we all need) while getting clean. After steaming, cool down on our chilled waterbed before heading back out into the air/dust. Have your new friend give you a massage in our massage area. HAPPY ENDING??
THE POWER OF POWER
SHHHH! – SHHHHHH!
You don’t hear generators running in our camp. We bring large-scale whisper-quiet generators and provide an entire power grid to service all housing (RVs, trailers, shift pods, yurts, and tents) and all the camp assets.
All electrical requirements of the camp are serviced by our own electrician. While we don’t restrict power usage, we ask that you serve the planet by turning off lights and A/Cs when not in use. Electricity is included in the camp fees of each Deoxidized camper.
Clean TOILETS HERE!!
Cleaned daily, always stocked with TP, equipped with nighttime lights so you don’t drop your phone into the abyss while trying to light up the smelly shithouse while holding your nose; Deoxidized has four toilets for member use.
No, we don’t share these with the playa. Sanitizer is always available upon your exit.
DUMPSTER MAGIC
Leaving NO TRACE is much easier when you have a place to dispose of the MOOP (MATTER OUT OF PLACE). For years, DEOX members carted 2 or more large, smelly bags of trash (plus their own trash) off the Playa and then dealt with where to dispose of them. NOT ANYMORE!!
The on-playa DEOX dumpster has eliminated members’ need to cart and dispose of camp trash. The kitchen and bar continue to reduce packaging brought on the playa, and we ask all our camp members to do the same by disposing of all packaging before coming to Burning Man.
FRESH AND GREY WATER
Our kitchen, showers, and spa are serviced with fresh potable water delivered daily. We encourage military showers to ensure there is always enough water to meet kitchen requirements.
Water is expensive on the playa, so we ask that you conserve it. Grey water is pumped out daily, also to ensure we don’t spill water on the playa.
RVS & TRAILERS
We offer the ability to purchase pump-out and water refill vouchers for your rig. Be assured over the years, we developed a system that our RVs and Trailers DO GET PUMPED OUT and REFILLED!
Once again, this was and still is the magic behind Deoxidized Teamwork.
